Biodata Science Intern (part time) m/f/d
We are looking for people who are keen in deriving insights from biological data.
Potential projects:
- Development of new pipeline(s) for sequencing data
- Comparison of tools for MinION data
- Deriving models from microbiome data
- Improving or making new web apps for data presentation and analysis
You bring:
- Solid experience in Linux system setup and shell scripting (bash)
- Solid skills in R, one scripting language (e.g. Python, Perl, …), one (partly) compiled language (e.g. Java, C++, …), PHP and SQL
- Knowledge / experience with sequencing data
- Interest and knowledge in statistics and data in general
- Fluent in reading and presenting scientific literature
- Ability to work in a team and pursue goals in a focused way
- Good written / oral communication skills in English

- The position is in the Biodata Analytics team of 5-6 people

- Type of employment: 18 h/week, duration 6-12 months, there is the possibility up to 50% Home Office
- This position is available immediately.
- We are legally obliged to point out that the salary for this position is € 1,672,– /m.
