VALIDOGEN GmbH is a leading Austrian contract research and development company in the field of microbial protein expression. Based on its technology platform known as UNLOCK PICHIA®, VALIDOGEN develops industrial protein production strains and bioprocesses for the manufacture of biopharmaceuticals, enzymes and various other recombinant proteins. Founded in 2008, the company emerged to a globally recognized player in the field of Pichia pastoris based protein expression. VALIDOGEN is a private company and subsidiary of the KonValue Group.

Currently, we are looking for a highly motivated

Research Scientist / R&D Associate

with experience in molecular biotechnology / recombinant protein expression in yeast (PhD level mandatory).

Your tasks:

Molecular Biotechnology

• Development of microbial strains for recombinant protein production
• Characterisation of microbial production strains
• Planning, execution / monitoring and analysis of protein production processes (small-scale)
• Data analysis and documentation of results
• Writing of records and reports
• Evaluation and establishment of new technologies for microbial protein production
• Interaction with and guidance of laboratory personnel

Your profile

• Academic degree in Biotechnology, Bioprocessing (or in a related field), PhD level
• Hands-on experience in molecular biology/protein expression in yeast systems
• Independent, well-organized and proactive work style
• Able to work with highest accuracy and reliability
• Able to work on several projects with time limits in parallel
• Very good communication skills
• Fluent in written and oral English

We offer an attractive salary package in line with your qualification, experience and individual competencies. The salary package considers the guideline of the corresponding collective agreement (EUR 42.000 gross per year/full-time).
