VALIDOGEN GmbH is a leading Austrian contract research and development company in the field of microbial protein expression. Based on its technology platform known as UNLOCK PICHIA®, VALIDOGEN develops industrial protein production strains and bioprocesses for the manufacture of biopharmaceuticals, enzymes and various other recombinant proteins. Founded in 2008, the company emerged to a globally recognized player in the field of Pichia pastoris based protein expression. VALIDOGEN is a private company and subsidiary of the KonValue Group.

We are looking for a scientist for downstream processing including customer relations and support for VALIDOGEN’s business development team. For our customer relations we strongly rely on hands-on experience and knowledge of VALIDOGEN’s lab procedures. At the beginning you will delve into the company’s development projects with focus on protein purification. Later your role will shift more towards customer relations and business development while continuing to include scientific functions.

Scientist for Downstream Processing / Business Development Associate

Your tasks:

Protein purification

•  Planning, development, and characterization of protein purification processes
•  Process related analytics; establishment of analytical methods/procedures
•  Data analysis and documentation of results; writing of records and reports – Evaluation and implementation of new technologies for protein purification

Business Development

•  Work closely with VALIDOGEN’s scientific and business development teams
•  Prepare customer project proposals

Your profile

•  PhD in molecular biotechnology, protein science, bioprocessing or in a related field
•  Profound knowledge in biotechnology with focus on recombinant protein expression/production/purification
•  Independent, well-organized and proactive work style
•  Able to work with highest accuracy and reliability
•  Strategic thinking
•  Strong communication and organizational skills
•  Fluent in written and oral English

We offer a salary package in line with your qualification, experience and individual skills. The salary package considers the guideline of the corresponding collective agreement (EUR 42.000 gross per year/full-time).
